COLUMBUS - NewsChannel5 received some big honors Sunday.
The Ohio Associated Press awarded newsnet5.com the best website. Judges said, "WEWS' website is well-organized and does an excellent job of highlighting the top news of the day."
Ron Regan won for best investigative reporting for "Final Justice."
And Mel Watson won for best producer for "Dimora Indicted." Judges said, "A first-rate package providing competent and compelling coverage of the many facets of a major story. From breaking news of an arrest online to good sequencing of live shots to take us from the facts to the impact to the reaction."
We also want to congratulate Brendan Keefe from our sister station WCPO-TV. He won best reporter in a large market.
The awards were handed out at the 2011 AP ceremony at the Hilton Hotel at Easton in Coumbus.
