Cash for Clunkers will end Monday.

The Department of Energy is getting ready to roll out another incentive for customers.

Stimulus money will pay for rebates to encourage people to get rid of older appliances and replace them with ones that are more energy efficient.

In order to get a rebate, the new appliance would have to have an energy star seal.

The Department of Energy is working with states to give out $300 million. The details of the program are still being worked out.

It’s estimated that rebates could range between $50 and $200 per appliance.
