UPDATED: 5:48 pm EDT September 5, 2008

A new scam is targeting customers who used Roadrunner Internet service, reported NewsChannel5's John Matarese.

Users are receiving e-mails that shows a Roadrunner Web site with Time Warner's logo and links to other Time Warner sites.

However, the e-mail said to keep your Internet connection you need to provide an account update with your name, address, Social Security number and mother's maiden name.

The e-mail is not from Time Warner; it is a phishing scam to steal your identity.

Never answer e-mails that ask for this type of information; it's most likely a scam.
