CLEVELAND -- Smaller cars may not end up saving consumers money.Consumer reporter John Materese reported small sporty cars are wrecked more and suffer more damage, which leads to higher medical bills.www.insure.com said a Honda Civic on average will cost $400 more per year to insure than a Toyota minivan or Ford pickup truck.There been a surge in demand for small cars, prices of used models are soaring, The Wall Street Journal also reported.Meanwhile the values of SUVs are plunging on Ohio lots.The Journal said a two-year-old Toyota Prius, Honda Civic, or Mini Cooper will cost almost as much as a new one.
