Spring is in the air and for many people, that means time to start those home improvement projects they put off all winter. What if there was a quick fix for your bedroom touch-up or painting project? The "As Seen On TV" product Point 'n Paint appears to be just the tool to try. Dean Wenning of Strongsville Paint and Wallpaper, has been painting for more than 20 years. He uses all the tools of the trade like brushes, ladders, trays and more. So he was interested in trying the all-in-one tool that claims to paint an entire room in an hour. The Point 'n Paint claims no tape is needed. Its triangular design is supposed to make edging easy. It comes with a tray, a small and large painter and two replacement pads. The paint tray has a roller to eliminate overload but with the first swipe, Wenning started dripping. Even with careful strokes, he found it difficult to get a nice, neat corner with the product. So what about the claim that it's "brisker than the brush"? It didn't glide easily, and was hard to control. Wenning said, "I'd wear my arm down in a hurry." Wenning put the larger attachment on the pole and hit the wall. He said, "I'm pushing pretty hard to get it to lay down; it's pretty sticky." And in the end the swivel head even snapped off.So for $20, Wenning said it wasn't worth giving up all his tried and true professional painting equipment.
