A 37-year-old man was arrested Saturday night accused of burglarizing a home in North Canton.

Police said a man and his wife returned to their home in the 700 block of Everhard Road SW at about 11:30 p.m. and found their garage door up and an unknown man running from the garage area.

The husband gave chase while his wife called police. North Canton police officers responded to the area and a short time later arrested Keith D. Elliot near Cambridge Street SW.

Officers said the quick call to police and good description by both residents helped greatly in Elliot's arrest, who was booked into the Stark County Jail.

Elliot, of Sebring, Ohio, was charged with burglary, vehicle trespass and warrant arrest for failure to appear in court for driving under suspension charge.
