Crime Stoppers, in conjunction with RX/Patrol, is offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of an Akron robbery suspect.

Police said Ricky Taylor, 47, robbed both the CVS and Ritzman pharmacies last month.

On Aug. 12, Taylor entered the CVS Pharmacy on Brittain Road and threatened to shoot the clerk if he did not give him Oxycontin, police said. He then fled the store with an undetermined amount of medication, police said.

On Aug. 23, Taylor walked into the Ritz Pharmacy on Goodyear Boulevard and threatened to shoot the clerk if she did not give him Oxycontin, police said. The clerk gave him the drugs and he fled on foot.

Ricky Taylor is described as a black male, 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is in the Goodyear Heights area of Akron and it is believed that he is still in the area.

RX/Patrol is the first national database of its kind to collect, collate, analyze and disseminate pharmacy crime information. They have agreed to work with Crime Stoppers to provide the financial reward.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ricky Taylor is asked to call the Akron Police Department at 330-375-2490 or 330-375-2181.
