UPDATED: 10:32 am EDT August 24, 2008

Police are investigating after a man found two of his flags burnt on his lawn in Green Township Saturday morning.

Dennis Haskamp said someone lowered the American flag overnight and set it on fire outside of his home, NewsChannel5 sister station WCPO-TV in Cincinnati reported. A Bengals flag also caught on fire.

Haskamp said he has no idea who did this, but he believes it was an act of vandalism.

"I came out to get the morning paper and happened to look over and the flag that was normally flying was at the bottom and there was a pile of ashes there, and the flag was half-burnt. Burnt through the liner," Haskamp said.

Police said there were no reports of similar incidents in this area.
