Man Killed After Running Into Asphalt Truck

A 42-year-old man was killed early Tuesday morning in a crash in Norton in Summit County.

Police said the crash happened just after 2 a.m. on Interstate 76 at Barber Road.

Officers said Jeffrey T. Zeitz, of Wadsworth, was traveling westbound on I-76 at a high rate of speed when he struck the rear of an asphalt truck.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:35 a.m. His name will be released when next-of-kin has been notified.

The Norton Police Department is investigating.

An autopsy has been scheduled
