Family Seeks Answers After Man Killed In Flats

CLEVELAND -- Four months after his son was shot and killed, a father is still searching for justice, and businesses fed up with crime have created a large reward.On Dec. 6 at 3 a.m., people were leaving the Metropolis nightclub, which just closed for the night.Gunshots rang out, and 30-year-old Daymon Mumford, who was working nearby, was struck in the chest and killed.Was it a random shooting or intentional? Police don't know, but Mumford's father, Forney Mumford, said he just wants answers."I just hope someone comes forward. Somebody saw something; people were around. I hope they do the right thing," he said.Mumford, a University of Toledo graduate from South Euclid, is missed by many friends and family members who have held vigils hoping for justice.The gunshots came from across the parking lot and police believe somebody saw something.There is now a reward of up to $25,000 leading to information.
