CLEVELAND -- More than 2 million Ohio families lost power over the weekend as a result of Hurricane Ike's winds. Most of those people were also forced to throw away food from their refrigerators.NewsChannel5 Consumer Reporter John Matarese said insurance can cover lost food but there is a catch. Most homeowners have a $500 deductible. If you lost $300 worth of food, it may not even be worth reporting the loss unless you have other damage as well.
