NCAA Game Summary - Texas A&M At Baylor

POSTED: 9:23 pm EST November 15, 2008

(Sports Network) - Robert Griffin completed 13-of-23 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Baylor Bears to a 41-21 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies in a Big 12 Conference clash.

Jay Finley ran for 116 yards and one touchdown on 23 rushing attempts for Baylor (4-7, 2-5 Big 12).

Jerrod Johnson connected on 19-of-30 passes for 244 yards and one touchdown in the loss for Texas A&M (4-7, 2-5), but he threw four interceptions.

The only points of the first quarter came on a 42-yard field goal by Baylor's Ben Parks.

Parks added a 28-yard field goal early in the second quarter, and the Bears pushed their advantage to 13-0 on a 12-yard touchdown run by Jacoby Jones.

Texas A&M cut its deficit to 13-7 with 4:07 remaining in the second quarter on a one-yard touchdown plunge by Jorvorskie Lane.

With just a minute-and-a-half left on the first-half clock, Baylor grabbed a 20-7 lead on a 31-yard touchdown pass from Griffin to Kendall Wright.

On Baylor's first drive of the second half, Griffin threw a 55-yard touchdown pass to Thomas White, making the score 27-7 in favor of the Bears.

Baylor then pushed the advantage to 41-7 by the end of that third quarter, as Jay Finley scored on a 13-yard run and Jones reached the end zone on an 18- yard scamper.

With the game clearly out of reach, the Aggies scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to make the game seem much closer than it really was. Lane plunged into the end zone from one yard out, and Johnson tossed a five-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Fuller, bringing the score to its final of 41-21.

Baylor finished the game with 510 total yards and zero turnovers.
