UCLA's Holiday To Remain In NBA Draft

POSTED: 8:56 pm EDT June 13, 2009

(Sports Network) - UCLA freshman guard Jrue Holiday announced Saturday he is hiring an agent, and thus will remain in the NBA Draft.

"I'm sure Jrue will be a great NBA player and have a long career," UCLA coach Ben Howland said. "We are very happy for him and wish him well. He will always be a part of the Bruin family."

Holiday averaged 8.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 35 games for UCLA this past season, and was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team.

Underclassmen who declare for the draft have until June 15 to withdraw and maintain college eligibility. The NBA Draft is scheduled for June 25.
