Kent, OH -- (Sports Network) - Chris Singletary scored 23 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists to lead the Kent State Golden Flashes to a convincing, 83-64 victory over the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks in a non-conference battle at the M.A.C. Center. Julian Sullinger added 18 points and seven boards for KSU (3-0), while Al Fisher contributed 17 points in the win. Chad Tomko netted 19 points for UNCW (2-2), while Johnny Wolf posted a double- double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Sheets added 14 points off the bench in the loss for the Seahawks. The Golden Flashes shot a commendable 44.1 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break with a four-point lead. KSU buckled down defensively in the second stanza, limiting the Seahawks to a meager 24.1 percent shooting effort from the floor en route to the 19-point win. The Flashes dominated the game in the paint, outscoring UNC-Wilmington, 48-22.
