Andrew Brackman added 14 points off the bench for North Carolina State (10-1), which has won five in a row heading into Friday's showdown with No. 12 George Washington.

Chris Vetrano recorded 14 of his game-high 17 points in the second half for the overmatched Wildcats (2-10), who fell behind by 26 points at the half en route to their fifth straight defeat.

The Wolfpack asserted their dominance right from the outset. North Carolina State scored the game's first nine points and quickly built a 16-point lead later on during the first half. A 14-2 run capped by an Atsur three-pointer gave the hosts a commanding 25-9 advantage with 7:45 remaining in the opening period.

A pair of treys by Cameron Bennerman sparked an 11-0 spurt to close out the half and put the Wolfpack up 44-18 at the break.

N.C. State shot 50 percent (8-of-16) from beyond the arc over the first 20 minutes, with Atsur knocking down 4-of-5 three-point tries.

The lead grew to 31 points midway through the second half after a 14-3 Wolfpack run ending with Brackman's tip-in that made the score 69-38.

N.C. State was up 77-48 with 4 1/2 minutes to go before Vetrano netted eight consecutive points to close the gap slightly. New Hampshire outscored the Wolfpack reserves 14-3 down the stretch to bring the margin under 20 points.
