Casper, WY -- David Adams scored 20 points to pace the Wyoming
Cowboys in their 63-55 victory over the Montana State Bobcats in the Wyoming
Shootout tonight. Joe Ries added 13 points and Jay Straight pitched in 10 points in the win for
Wyoming (4-3), which has posted victories in two of its last three outings. Calvin Ento tallied 19 points and Jason Erickson added 12 points in defeat for
Montana State (3-4), which has suffered three straight losses. Although Montana State was outscored 6-0 from the foul line in the first half
and made good on only 2-of-10 three-point attempts, it held a narrow 30-29
lead over Wyoming at the break. The Cowboys connected on 6-of-13 three-pointers over the final 20 minutes and
held the Bobcats to 37 percent shooting from the floor en route to the eight-
point victory. Although Wyoming did commit a high total of 19 turnovers in the contest, it
outscored Montana State 12-1 from the charity stripe.
