Oxford, MS -- (Sports Network) - Ole Miss sophomore guard Trevor Gaskins tore his ACL in practice and will undergo season-ending surgery, the team announced on Friday.

"This is disheartening for Trevor," head coach Andy Kennedy said. "He has worked so hard throughout the offseason and really put himself in position to have big sophomore year. I'm terribly disappointed for him, but Trev is a tremendous competitor who will overcome this setback and have a very bright future in our program."

Gaskins earned SEC All-Freshman team honors after averaging 5.9 points. He appeared in all 35 games, which included eight starts, and was third on the team with 46 three-pointers.
