NCAA Game Summary - Ole Miss At Virginia Tech

(Sports Network) - Chris Warren scored 22 points and dished out six assists to lead the Ole Miss Rebels to an 81-72 victory over the Virginia Tech Hokies in quarterfinal play of the NIT at the Cassell Coliseum.

Dwayne Curtis added a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds for Ole Miss (24-10), which will head to Madison Square Garden to battle Ohio State in semifinal action. David Huertas contributed 16 points for the Rebels, while Kenny Williams also tallied a double-double with 10 points and 11 boards.

Deron Washington netted 23 points for Virginia Tech (21-14), while A. D. Vassallo and Malcolm Delaney chipped in 16 and 14 points, respectively.

Despite shooting 35.5 percent from the field in the first half, the Rebels went into the break with a slim 33-31 lead.

However, Ole Miss put forth a much better effort in the second stanza, shooting a staggering 64.3 percent from the floor, en route to the nine-point win.

The Rebels dominated the glass in the contest, outrebounding Virginia Tech by a 46-23 margin. The strong presence on the glass led to a 38-26 edge in points scored in the paint.
