Fairfax, VA -- (Sports Network) - Dre Smith and Cam Long each scored 15 points to lead the George Mason Patriots to a 74-65 win over the Ohio University Bobcats in a non-conference tilt at the Patriot Center. Ryan Pearson also added 13 points for the Patriots (5-1), while Andre Cornelius and Darryl Monroe chipped in with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Ohio (2-1) was paced by Jerome Tillman, who tallied 22 points and 16 rebounds in a losing effort. Steven Coleman also scored 16 points for the Bobcats. GMU got off to a hot start, shooting 55.2 percent from the floor in the first half, to take a 40-30 lead at the break. The Patriots were able to hold off the Bobcats in the second stanza by knocking down 17-of-25 free-throws. The GMU bench was the difference in this contest, outscoring the Ohio reserves, 27-11 on the night.
