NCAA Game Summary - Drexel At Georgetown

(Sports Network) - Greg Monroe had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead 22nd-ranked Georgetown to an 81-53 rout over Drexel.

Monroe added four assists, three steals and three blocked shots for the Hoyas (2-0), who opened their season with a 71-62 win over Jacksonville on Monday. Austin Freeman missed only one of seven shots en route to a 16-point performance, while Chris Wright and DaJuan Summers scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Scott Rodgers poured in 13 points to pace the Dragons (1-1), who outlasted Penn on Tuesday by a 66-64 final. Jamie Harris finished with 12 points and six boards in defeat.

Georgetown scored 15 of the first 17 points and carried a comfortable 42-25 lead into halftime. The Hoyas went on an 11-0 surge to begin the second half and cruised to the finish.

Game Notes:

Jason Clark had nine points for the Hoyas, who shot 52.8 percent from the field as a team...Drexel made just 24.5 percent of its shots...Wright dished out seven assists and pulled down five rebounds...Georgetown's Jessie Sapp totaled eight points and game-high five steals.
