Cleveland, OH -- (Sports Network) - Denis Clemente was one of four Wildcats to score in double digits, as his 16 points led Kansas State to a 69-59 victory over Cleveland State in non-conference action. Jacob Pullen and Jamar Samuels each added 15 points for Kansas State (4-0), which also got a strong game from Darren Kent who posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 boards. Cleveland State (1-2) was led by Norris Cole's game-high 17 points and D'Aundray Brown's 10 points and eight rebounds. J'Nathan Bullock contributed 11 points and four assists in the loss. Kansas State went on a 15-3 run to end the first half and enter the locker room with a 35-23 lead. The Wildcats shot 50 percent from the floor in the opening stanza while limiting the Vikings to 21.4 percent efficiency. The Wildcats sealed the victory with a 9-of-11 showing from the foul line in the second half. Kansas State's bench outscored Cleveland State's reserves, 19-9, which helped contribute to the victory.
