NCAA Game Summary - Wright State At Central Michigan

POSTED: 6:46 pm EST November 22, 2008

(Sports Network) - Jeremy Allen scored a game-high 22 points to help lead the Central Michigan Chippewas to a 70-68 overtime victory against the Wright State Raiders in non-conference action at Rose Arena.

Chris Kellermann added 18 points before fouling out for the Chippewas (2-2), while Jacolby Hardiman recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds as well.

The Raiders (0-2) were paced by Cory Cooperwood who had a double-double of his own with 16 points and a game-best 11 boards, followed by N'Gai Evans who recorded 11 points off the bench.

WSU made a mere 28.6 percent from the field in the first half, but thanks to a 14-of-20 effort at the free-throw line the visitors trailed by just three at the break, 35-32.

In the second half the Raiders boosted their accuracy to 42.3 percent from the field, yet just 1-of-8 behind the three-point line left the team with a 59-59 tie at the end of regulation.

CMU made good on 3-of-5 shots out on the perimeter to come up with the narrow two-point victory.

Wright State played itself out of contention with just 3-of-20 shooting from three-point range and 19-of-29 at the charity stripe.
