Philadelphia, PA -- (Sports Network) - Gerald Colds scored 13 points to lead the Drexel Dragons to a 55-47 victory over the Cal State Northridge Matadors in a non-conference battle at the Daskalakis Center.

Scott Rodgers also netted 13 points for Drexel (2-1), while Evan Neisler posted nine points in the win.

Matthew Wallace tallied 12 points for CS Northridge (1-5), while Deon Tresvant chipped in 11 points in the setback.

The Dragons held Northridge to just 28.6 percent shooting from the field in the first half and went into the break with a slim, 22-21 lead.

Although Drexel shot 34.5 percent from the floor in the second stanza, the team did connect on 11-of-13 attempts from the foul line en route to the eight-point win.

The Dragons made 18-of-26 free throw attempts, while the Matadors connected on just 2-of-5 shots from the charity stripe.
