Albuquerque, NM -- (Sports Network) - Roman Martinez came off the bench to post a game-high 20 points, leading the New Mexico Lobos to an 85-74 victory over the Cal State Northridge Matadors in a non-conference bout at The Pit. Fellow reserve Tony Danridge added 16 points and grabbed five rebounds in the New Mexico (3-2) win. Willie Galick scored 17 points and collected nine rebounds to lead Northridge (1-3), while Deon Tresvant chipped in 16 points, five assists and four steals. Tremaine Towsend tallied 11 points and grabbed nine boards for the Matadors. The Matadors were held to just 31.3-percent shooting from the field during the first half, and the Lobos capitalized by taking a 46-30 lead into the break. The Lobos shot 44.8 percent from the floor and added 9-of-12 from the charity stripe during the second stanza to take the 11-point victory. Northridge shot a mere 38.1 percent from the field during the contest, in addition to committing 21 turnovers in the loss.
