NCAA Game Summary - Cal State Northridge At Stanford

(Sports Network) - Anthony Goods scored 25 points to lead the Stanford Cardinal to a convincing, 103-85 victory over the Cal State Northridge Matadors in a non-conference tilt at the Maples Pavilion.

Landry Fields added 18 points for Stanford (2-0), while Lawrence Hill, Josh Owens, and Mitch Johnson each contributed 14 points. Johnson added eight assists and five rebounds, while Hill and Owens pulled down seven and six rebounds, respectively.

Josh Jenkins netted 24 points and dished out six assists for CS-Northridge (1-1), but also committed 10 turnovers in the loss. Willie Galick posted 12 points for the Matadors, while Rob Haynes chipped in with 11.

The Cardinal went into the break with a 52-42 lead, thanks to a 53.3 percent shooting effort from the field and a 16-of-18 clip from the foul line.

Stanford used a solid 42.9 percent shooting performance in the second stanza en route to the 18-point win.

The Cardinal connected on 40-of-47 attempts from the foul line, while the Matadors made just 9-of-12 shots from the charity stripe.
