Stavon Williams posted 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting behind the three-point line off the bench, followed by Tai Wesley with 14 points and five dishes. The Mustangs (1-4) were paced by Chaz Thomas who came off the bench to post a team-best 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the floor in the team's second straight setback. Both teams shot the ball very well in the first half, with a 61.5 percent effort by the Aggies, as well as 12-of-13 at the free-throw line, allowing USU to put up a 46-30 advantage at the break. In the second half the Aggies shot an even more impressive 67.7 percent from the floor and 7-of-11 beyond the arc as they cruised to the overwhelming 40- point triumph. Utah State played a near flawless game as it turned the ball over just eight times, beat Cal Poly on the glass (37-20) and outscored the visitors at the charity stripe, 14-2.
