POSTED: 10:58 pm EST March 8, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Cal State Northridge Matadors leveled the Cal Poly Mustangs, 97-67, as Deon Tresvant led four players in double figures with 21 points in a Big West Conference rout at The Matadome.

Northridge (20-9, 12-4 BWC) clinched a share of the Big West regular-season title with the win, as Calvin Chitwood logged 17 points and seven rebounds, and Jonathan Heard netted 19 points. Josh Jenkins also got involved in the action by hitting all four of his three-point attempts in finishing with 16 points and nine assists.

Titus Shelton's 12 points paced the Mustangs (12-17, 7-9), while Trae Clark and Shawn Lewis added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Both offenses were clicking on all cylinders in the first half, as the Matadors led 43-38 at halftime thanks to eight three-pointers in the period.

Northridge stepped on the gas pedal in the second stanza, draining 20-of-32 from the floor and another eight from behind the arc in the 30-point blowout.

The Matadors' 16-of-26 performance from downtown was truly something to behold, as the squad put a stamp on a successful regular-season in impressive fashion.
