Moscow, ID -- (Sports Network) - Terrence Simmons made 8-of-9 field goals and finished with 18 points, as the Idaho Vandals trounced the UC Irvine Anteaters, 101-47, in non-conference play at the Cowan Spectrum. Mac Hopson added 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Vandals (3-3), who set a new school record with the 54-point margin of victory. Marvin Jefferson and Luciano de Souza each tallied 12 points, while Kashif Watson had 10 points and seven helpers. Brett Lauer was the only player to reach double figures for UC Irvine (4-0), finishing with 12 points. Idaho made 51.6 percent of its field goal tries in the first half and jumped out to a commanding 42-16 lead at the break. In the second stanza, the Vandals shot an unconscious 74.2 percent from the floor, as they coasted to the 54-point win. Idaho dominated the glass, 50-26, and also outscored UC Irvine in the paint, 46-10, in the game.
