Provo, UT -- (Sports Network) - Lee Cummard poured in a game-high 28 points and snared nine rebounds, as they BYU Cougars beat the Cal Poly Mustangs, 76-64, in the final game of the 2008 Basketball Travelers Invitational at the Marriott Center. Chris Miles turned in a career-high 24 points for the Cougars (5-0), who extended the nation's longest homecourt winning streak to 51 games. Titus Shelton led the charge for Cal Poly (1-3) with 22 points and three steals. Shawn Lewis posted 15 points and Chaz Thomas came off the bench to score 11 in the setback. The Cougars shot 54.1 percent from the floor in the first half, as they raced out to a 44-28 lead at the intermission. BYU knocked down 50.0 percent of its tries from the floor in the second half, capturing the 12-point victory. The Cougars, who dominated the glass 44-26 on the night, also beat Rice and North Florida to capture the tournament championship.
