(Sports Network) - Nate Miller tied a career-high with 22 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds, leading the top-seeded Bowling Green Falcons to a 74-61 win over the ninth-seeded Ohio University Bobcats in the quarterfinal round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament at Quicken Loans Arena.

The Falcons (19-12) advance to the semifinal round for the first time since 2002, where they will face fifth-seeded Akron. Brian Moten added 12 points in the win, while Erik Marschall scored 11 off the bench.

Jerome Tillman paced OU (15-17) with 15 points and 13 rebounds. DeVaughn Washington added 14 points, while Justin Orr and Steven Coleman each scored 11.

The Falcons jumped out to a 35-27 halftime lead after knocking down 56.5 percent of their field-goal attempts in the first half.

They didn't let off the gas in the second stanza, shooting 65 percent from the floor and adding another dozen points from the foul line.

OU was never able to get it going offensively, shooting just 37.1 percent from the floor, including a 6-of-27 effort from beyond the arc.
