NCAA Game Summary - Bowling Green At Ohio State

POSTED: 11:57 pm EST November 24, 2008

(Sports Network) - Jon Diebler led all scorers with 17 points, as the Ohio State Buckeyes scratched and clawed their way to a 61-57 win over the Bowling Green Falcons in a non-league matchup at Value City Arena.

Evan Turner turned in a 12-point, eight-rebound effort for the Buckeyes (2-0).

Brian Moten led Bowling Green (3-2) with 16 points, while Darryl Clements finished with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Both teams shot just 40 percent from the floor in the first half, though the Buckeyes outscored the Falcons, 6-1 at the foul line to take a 30-24 halftime lead.

Bowling Green erased a 13-point second-half deficit by rallying to take a 48-46 lead with six minutes to play. But the Buckeyes battled back down the stretch, and David Lighty sealed the win by hitting a pair of free throws with 6.4 seconds remaining.

The Buckeyes were busy on the defensive end, as they made up for a poor shooting night by registering nine steals and nine blocks.
