Minneapolis, MN -- (Sports Network) - Joe Jakubowski nailed a three-point basket as time expired to give the Bowling Green Falcons a thrilling, 77-76 overtime victory over the Georgia State Panthers in the first game of the NABC Classic at Williams Arena.

Jakubowski finished with 24 points in the victory, while Brian Moten added 19 points for BGSU (1-0). Erik Marshall contributed 17 points and also grabbed nine rebounds for the Falcons.

Joe Dukes netted 20 points and collected 12 boards for Georgia State (0-1), while Xavier Hansbro and Leonard Mendez chipped in 16 and 15 points, respectively.

The Falcons shot 46.2 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break with a slim 33-30 lead over Georgia State.

The game went back and forth throughout the second stanza, but it was Moten's three-point basket that evened the score for BGSU, sending the game into overtime knotted at 65-65.

In the extra session, the Falcons connected on 4-of-8 field goal attempts, but no shot was more important than Jakubowski's three-point basket.
