NCAA Game Summary - Binghamton Vs. Alcorn State

(Sports Network) - Lazar Trifunovic scored a career-high 25 points to lead the Binghamton Bearcats to a 78-65 victory over the Alcorn State Braves in the consolation game of the Comcast Lobo Invitational.

Trifunovic knocked down 10-of-16 shots from the field and grabbed seven rebounds for the Bearcats (7-5). Duane James scored a career-high 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and Steve Proctor added 14 points. Troy Hailey chipped in with 12 points in the win.

As for the Braves (1-10), Delvin Thompson scored a team-high 22 points on 9- of-16 shooting from the field in the loss.

Binghamton connected on 5-of-10 shots from beyond the arc and used a 18-7 run to take a 43-28 lead into the break.

The Bearcats missed 10 of their first 12 shots of the second stanza, but the team was able to regroup and hold on for the 13-point victory.

The win gives the Bearcats seven non-conference victories this year, which is the most in the program's six seasons in Division I-A play.
