STOW, Ohio -- A Stow man is charged in connection with a fatal crash along state Route 8 at the Steels Corners entrance ramp.

Luis Felipe Perez, 38, was charged with tampering with evidence and vehicular manslaughter.

Dale Collins, 59, of Cuyahoga Falls, died in a crash. Police said the investigation revealed the Collins was traveling southbound when Perez entered the ramp southbound and collided with the side of Collins' vehicle, forcing it into a barricade and out of control.

Police said Perez fled the scene.

Perez, who was not the owner of the vehicle, painted the vehicle to disguise the damage, police said.
