AKRON, Ohio -- The city of Akron is accepting applications for new police officers.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 21 to 31 years old, and possess a valid driver's license without revocation or suspension.

Applications will be accepted until Aug. 20. They can be obtained at the city of Akron personnel department in Suite 130 of the CitiCenter building on High Street, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
