Two people were arrested and hundreds of doses of Ecstasy confiscated in drug raids Thursday morning in Akron.

Narcotics officers teamed with the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force to conduct simultaneous raids in east Akron. The raids were conducted on Cleveland Street and Eugene Street.

The raids were a result of a month-long investigation into the sale of Ecstasy.

Kong Rassavong, 32, and Eddie Souksavanh, 25, were arrested.

Rassavong was charged with two counts of trafficking in Ecstasy and Souksavanh was charged with possession of Ecstasy and weapons under disability. They were booked into the Summit County Jail.

Officers netted 624 doses of Ecstasy with a street value of about $10,000, one shotgun, two rifles, one handgun and $3,000 in cash.
