Most Memorable Stories: I once went to a maximum-security prison to interview inmates and missionaries. The missionaries travel to prisons to play sports against inmates. Following the game, they deliver their religious messages right on the field or court. Sports serve as a tool to break down any social barriers. I interviewed two men in jail for murder. It was a very eye-opening experience.

Awards/Honors: Nominated for six New York State Emmys / AP Award for best sports coverage.

News Philosophy:  Reporting is about listening first and speaking second.

Role Model: My brother. He has an unparalleled work ethic. He’s displayed an ability to think with logic and clarity in the most stressful moments. Only a few years older than me, he’s found a tremendous amount of success without ever compromising his character.

Favorite Sports Teams: Whatever teams I am covering. It is more fun to cover a winning team.
