Most Memorable Stories: Actually, it was a Cleveland story about a mother of two who suffered from Scleroderma. Her babies were little and she never stopped believing that she would see them grow up.
The disease made it impossible for her to pick them up, but her greatest joy was for them to crawl up into her lap. The auto-immune disease disfigures the joints; she could no longer wear her wedding rings. My husband, who is a jeweler was able to build a hinge for her rings so that she could wear them in her last days.
