New Birth Control Reduces Water Retention
Pill Also Reduces Sodium In Body
CINCINNATI, Ohio -- There's a new birth control pill that supposedly doesn't have any side effects, according to On Your Side Health Specialist Lee Jordan.
Yasmin is the newest form of birth control on the market and researchers at the University of Cincinnati say it helps reduce water and sodium in the body.
"The studies that have been published show a decrease in mood swings like irritability, loneliness, depression-like symptoms," says Dr. Michael Thomas. "It can also decrease bloating, weight retention as well as breast tenderness."
Women with liver or kidney problems should not take Yasmin, however.
Also, be sure to check with your doctor before making any change to your birth control regimen.
